Evenings at the end of the week were busy.
We continued to help celebrate Brehon's birthday by joining him and several other folk at Pok Pok LA, a restaurant that sells Thai street food that's pretty tasty. Their bar had a large selection of rye whiskies which I gently explored as well. Good food and good company.
Then last night we went with the Weinsteins to The Complete History of Comedy (abridged), a show put on by a traveling troupe of The Reduced Shakespeare Company. I'll never forget having seen them on stage at the Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Agoura, CA around about thirty years ago. They were very funny back then, and this recent show didn't disappoint. We had a quick dinner before at The Melt, a gourmet hamburger joint in the Victoria Gardens shopping district, and afterwards we had a spot of dessert...Corky's? I don't recall the place's name, but the pie was good. Again, good company as well.
I have some duties for work today, so I'll be off...
